Athens metro to airport
Athens Airport Metro Line 3 (blue line) covers the route between Aghia Marina, Douk. Plakentias and Athens Airport via Syntagma Square, even many trains also reverse at Doukissis Plakentias. It also goes to Pireaus, the Dimotiko Theatro.
The trip from Athens Airport to downtown (Syntagma) is about 40 minutes with a 30 minutes’ frequency.

Please bear in mind that metro runs from Athens Airport from 06:30 am to 11:30 pm.
Location
Metro line 3 stops at the railway station adjacent to the Main Terminal.
You can get there by an elevated walkway.

Ath.ena Card
By the Ath.ena Card you can get convenient fares to travel to and from Athens Airport.
The card can be used for 90 minutes up to 5 days and is rechargeable. It can be both purchased at any metro station, ticket office and at the automatic ticket machines.
The Anonymous Ath.ena Card is really worth for passengers travelling to Athens since it can be charged and recharged from 90 minutes to 5 days and used to transfer from both metro and bus from Athens Airport.
